Slow cooked Pork Leg (3 kg) with potatoes
In this video, we prepare a tender, slow-cooked 3-kilogram pork leg, infused with garlic, herbs, and wine.
We begin by making small incisions in the pork and inserting pieces of fresh garlic deep inside the meat for rich internal flavor.
Then we season it with:
• 1 tablespoon black pepper
• 1 tablespoon mixed herbs
• Fresh rosemary, basil, and oregano
Next, we add:
• 1 bottle of wine
• 1 bottle of water
We tightly cover the tray with baking paper and aluminum foil, and place it in a preheated oven at 200°C
After 1 hour:
• Add 1 liter of water
• Cover again and return to the oven
After another hour:
• Remove from the oven
• Add potatoes or mixed vegetables
• Add another 1 liter of water
• Cover tightly again
Return to the oven for a final hour.
After 3 hours of slow cooking at low temperature, the pork leg becomes tender, juicy, and deeply infused with garlic and aromatic herbs.
